Preliminary study

Presbytery

Wishing to evaluate the potential of reorganization and expansion of its presbytery in order to relocate community organizations, the City of L'Ancienne-Lorette mandated Parka to study the feasibility of the project. In addition to completing inspections, several constraints were evaluated: building code regulations, space constraints, organization’s needs, urban context, access management, budget, connection with the existing building, etc.

Following the initial evaluations, Parka had proposed a concept of contemporary expansion, which is clean and sober, highlighting the beauty and the heritage of the existing building. The area needs required a volumetric study to create a balance between the presbytery and its extension, so that the new and the old can interact perfectly.
